In this statement, the president first says we need to control our borders better. Just recently we've added more technology and more workers to help with our border and illegal immigrant problems. Second he thinks if no americans want a certain job we should bring in workers from other countries to fill the job. The press release pretty much says the same things over and over as they allwayz do.
I think it is great that we are upgrading our border control and keeping track of illegal immigrants, but I do not like them offering other jobs to people in other countries, if they were allready in the country i could see, but dont call people in to work.

In my opinion, these detained "terrorists" should not receive any rights that a US ciizen would get b/c 1.they are not US ciizens and 2.they are not on american soil. It's ashamed that we have people trying to protect our country at any meens possible and people qeustion them.It's like people don't care for themselves or hyeir fellow americans, but if somhing were to happen to them or their families they would want something done immediatly. I'm upset not mainly that kilgore lost, but that i think people in certain reigions don't look at the canidates or their opinions on things, that they just vote for a certain political party. I think that to be able to vote people should have to give a good reationale of why they want to vote for that party and that would cut back on all these people that jump around their beliefs so much.

It seems that both candidates were well prepared for what came at them as far as questions. Kilgore seems like he wants to perserve virginia and kaine wants to change it and i dont like change. The only thing i agree with kaine on is establishing a law against abortion. I do however want the death penalty in virginia. So i belive that mr kilgore would get my vote because he doesnt want the death penalty abolished.so yea-thats about it.

government responses to katrina

ok-lets take a second to reveiew whats going on-we've had one of the biggest catastropies in american history-people are trapped and the government is trying to get everybody out by force. The way i see it is if people want to stay in their messed up homes, in messed up conditions, they should have the right to do so. Also why is it taking congress so long to decide wether or not to give the money for the releif fund, what are they gonna do-just act like it never happened and just leave a part of our beloved country left all to hell, I meen what does it take to get these snobby rich congressmen off their butts to do something usefull for our country. I meen it isn't like they are afraid of it being rejected by president bush-he has allready said as soon as it hits his desk he will sign it. Another thing, if the mayor is trying to remove people-why isn't mrs. hot shot governer either aiding him and helping him or stopping him-is she scared-if she is she shouldent be in office.But you know-until somebody takes charge of the situation it isnt going to be handled-so somebody needs to step their game up or resign so we can get somebody else to do it.

Type your answers here….because new orleans is a major port in bringing in gas and the damages in the gulf of mexico didn’t help any.increase in gas prices will eventually cause inflation on most everything.president bush opened up some of our countries oil reserves to help with the prices of gasoline.

divided they stand

in this artical you can tell that peter galbraith doesn't like president bush.But, in this artical they can agree on one thing,the bush administrations brokering the iraq constitution,helping to make iraq stable and possibly save the country. In galbraiths opinion iraq is allready divided and not that the constitution is dividing them, which is what what most american critics think.He says,"Iraq was not created by god.It was created by Winston Churchill".now i dont know exactly what he meens by that but it doesn't sound like he is very happy with what the brittish prime minnistor in WWII did by creating iraq. But back to an earlier topic, Galbraith and Bush both begin their analysis by taking a hardlook at real iraqi society-but i agree with the writer of this artical(dabrooks)that when thes two agree, somthing big is happening.
